Competition and Solidarity

by Federico Bartolomei

Fortitudo Bologna and the Istituto Cavazza together again to promote the fight against blindness and low vision.

On the occasion of games played in the month of April, respectively against Cantù, Reggio Emilia and Treviso, there was at the Land Rover Arena in Bologna a raffle whose proceeds were all forwarded to support the Institute's activities.
At the entrance and before the game, tickets were sold and drawn. During the game's halftime, the winning ticket holders received shirts autographed by the white and blue players, as well as other Fortitudo signed prizes. Information material relating to visual prevention and rehabilitation was also distributed among spectators which gave the initiative an important role of awareness and information for the younger fans.
The Fortitudo's story speaks for itself, and on this occasion, as in so many others before, the Bolognese basketball society was again sensitive to this initiative of solidarity involving the region.
